Peanut butter
Peanut butter or an organic nut spread is great when you're getting the afternoon munchies. Instead of grabbing a muesli bar or cookie from the cookie jar, grab a multi-grain cracker and spread some delicious peanut butter. It will satisfy your sweet craving as well as fill you up.

Citrus fruits
We may say an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an orange a day keeps the hunger pains at bay. If you are in need of a sugar hit grab an orange not a lollie as they are full of natural sugars that keep your body moving.

Boiled eggs
Eggs are not just for breakfast they are a great source of protein throughout the day. Boil some eggs at night and keep in the fridge during the day at work. With 14 essential nutrients, eggs are simply one of the best snacks you can eat.

Dark chocolate
If chocolate is your weakness then get excited because this is a great snack. Loaded with antioxidants to aid everything from weight control to diabetes, dark chocolate will also help with productivity. Make sure you buy dark chocolate with 60% or more of cocoa otherwise you will be cheating.

Hummus
It's best to make your own batch of hummus, but if you are stuck for time head to the supermarket and grab some that is organic and has chickpeas as the first ingredient. Traditionally a Middle Eastern food, hummus is packed with filling protein to help combat fatigue.

Popcorn
We are not talking about the pop corn you get at the movies, but rather the small packets you can get at your supermarket. Pop corn is high in fibre, and because it comes from whole grains it is a much better option than the vending machine snack.

Raisins
Raisins provide a healthy dose of antioxidants to aid digestion and combat bad cholesterol. If you're not sold on the orange, a cup of raisins is equal to one daily serving of fruit. But bear in mind, this is one snack you shouldn't over eat, a cup a day is the end to a perfect day.

Tuna
Canned tuna should be enjoyed in moderation. Try having some at lunch and the rest in the afternoon as it's a great source of protein and vitamin B. If you are not a fish fan, why not add some whole egg mayonnaise with salt, pepper and some fresh herbs. Delicious!

Vegetable sticks
Carrots, celery, cucumber and capsicum are a great alternative to crackers. Dip in hummus or cottage cheese and you will have the perfect daily snack for a healthy and happy week.

Cottage cheese
Eating cottage cheese might not seem as the most ideal desk snack, but it beats having a packet of chips. Cottage cheese is packed full of protein and has hardly any sugar so it will keep you full for longer.
